Get Your Body Back

“WOULDN’T IT BE GREAT TO WEIGHT ONE HUNDRED POUNDS?”
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to walk around feeling light as a feather? No aches and pains. No sore joints. Nothing to totally ruin your day!
The world would be a wonderful place if everyone could fit back into their skinny jeans, and wear tiny sleeveless shirts without the worry of jiggly arms, thunder thighs or some extra flab hanging over your belt line.
But, life in this world isn’t perfect. And neither are you. A dream that you have is exactly that…only a dream. Unless you act upon it.
Feeling healthy, looking healthy and being healthy all are relative terms and all require work to get there. If you remember that a goal or desire is only a starting point for all kinds of achievements half the battle is over.
Here are my suggestions for sensible weight loss:
- 1. Think “Healthy Choices” not Diet -choose foods that will fill you up with minimal calories. Skip foods high in sugar and fats. Eliminate processed foods. Eat foods high in fiber.
- 2. Make all your exercises fun for you - it’s recommended that you exercise your body at least 30 minutes each day. If something is not fun, it’s not worth doing. Choose things that will keep you active, moving and enjoyable.
- 3. Do not skip meals - this is the simplest instruction that can be given, but it is the least followed. If you skip meals, you can actually gain weight instead of losing it. Your body will think its starving and shut down its fat burning capabilities. Then anything else you put into your body at a later time could automatically be converted to fat.
- 4. Be more aware when eating out - the worse thing a person could do is exercise right, make all the right foods at home, eat the proper amounts of nutritious meals and then go out to a restaurant and blow it. Ask for sauces and dressings to be put on the side. Find out if the foods are high in fat before you order. You have to be the informed shopper or your body will look like a deformed shopper.
All of these points have one thing in common; they require you to ACT wisely. Like the saying goes, “You Can’t Dance Sitting On Your Pants.” You have to do something to change your current situation. The world is in constant movement…and so should you.
Learn to be active. Live to be active. And Lead others on this active journey with you.
It’s time to stop wasting your money on “magic pills”, potions, and empty promises.
You can say good-bye to those extra pounds… if you truly want to. You could look years younger…if you want to. You can look BETTER than you did before…If You Want To.
